| Karate is an art and a sport organized around several major styles. Each school is usually part of its own style association, and many schools are also a part of an all-styles association. Incorporated under the Societies' Act in 1973, the Karate Alberta Association (KAA) is the provincial all-styles association, and is the governing body for amateur karate as recognized by the Alberta Government. |
